I absolutely love this camping table compared to another well-known brand beginning with a C and ending with an N. Yes, Alps is more expensive. But if you are glamping or RVing, the design and quality of finish brings an extra smile to one's experience. The paint of the Alps Clay (I bought the older Clay, not the newer Clay) is a bit sparkly, not unlike some Brown Jordan patio furniture. I just love it! Also, that other well-known brand has an awkward dining design where it's hard to tuck knees under when sitting on chairs. The design of Alps takes knees into account... plenty of room on the two opposite sides. Well worth the premium price in my opinion!I purchased this table a couple years ago. I’ve used it multiple times at the beach and while camping in the rv. It’s been sprayed with water many times to clean the sand or dirt. I’ve lost an end cap but then sometimes I rush the breakdown. This has been a great purchase and so far seems might not need to replace unless I lose it. Great product. You will not be disappointed. This table is so handy! We bring it to barbecues, picnics, the pool, and it’s just incredible. So light and easy to use!I love these tables. I've had the medium one for many years and it's still going. I use it in my shop and on numerous trips. I decided to get the larger one to try out. They both are a bit tricky to get into the bag, but I found that rolling the bag down to the inside divider makes it easier not to get the slats caught. The table gets a 5 star rating, but the shipping box was torn up and one slat had a small ding. Not the vendor's fault. Shipping gets a 2 star rating.Good size for a Coleman stove with extra room for pots & pans, other cooking gear. The table is good and not low to the ground like many camping tables. It cleans up fairly well being made of aluminum, except when food gets in between the slats. Bring a table cloth next time. It is a bit unintuitive to put together for the uninitiated, but we get it now. The only problem is with the bag which seems to have run through the wrong end of the sewing machine because the strap is sewn into the main seam of the bag diagonally. Not enough of a reason to return the table as I didn’t buy it for the bag. Is it lightweight enough to bring on a hike? No. But it’s great to have in the back of the car. This is my fourth ALPS table and I use it to death. Great for tailgating and holds a lot. Love the crossbar which makes the table solid for rough terrain; rain is not an issue, and assembly is easy peasy. I also ordered the XL table for my events. We were looking for a small, packable table to use while tent camping. There are many options, with mixed reviews across the board. Similar tables can run very expensive, so I had low expectations give the price of this table. We're very please. You can sit four people comfortably, 6 maybe if you sit close. It completely served it role and purpose. Would buy again, and would recommend it.would give 4.5 stars if I could. .5 star off, as I'm not a fan of the button hook system to hold the last slates to the table structure. They work, but I worry about how long those plastic rings will hold. For now they are.Pros:- quick assembly- very light- nice looking (though was not a factor in purchase)- great price- packs small, packs, lightCons:- the ends of that table have these button hook holes to hold the last slate. They havent broken, but quality seems weak- finding the optimal way to restack the slate for storage take a bit of practice- is light (its a pro as well), but you may have to stake it down or keep something with weight on it, if in strong wind areaWe REALLY like this table,It is Large, easy to set up, high quality, fairly small when folded down, and sturdy overall. The main problem is that the metal slats for the top sit directly on the metal rails of the base. The coefficient of friction is very low at this metal metal interface. This means that the top of the table slides back and forth about 1/2 inch on the rails with the smallest of horizontal force. Placing a 50 pound box on the top of the table with the force of your little finger you can move the box about 1/2 inch back and forth as the top slats slide on the rails. We have installed a self adhesive vinyl strip onto the top of the rails to increase the friction between the top and the rails to minimize this problem. For the price of the these tables I think the manufacturer should have foreseen the low friction and sliding problem and installed a rubber of soft plastic strip along the top of the rails to increase the friction and prevent this problem. Don't dance on it though:) seriously, good lightweight, packable table for a decent price. Watch out for the top table slat plastic end covers...they pop off. Otherwise, easy up, easy down, great size for many uses and as Dining Table..La primera impresión fue súper positiva. This table is just what I wanted for camping this season -- light weight, portable, compact for carrying and will be sturdy enough for the camp kitchen. Only issue is that I ordered two and, for some reason, the second one isn't coming. It's been months... Sooooo -- not sure re: the seller.
